T'Wolves Defeat Jazz, 105-104
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the visiting Utah Jazz, 105-104, at Target Center on Monday.

This was a true tale of four quarters, with all four individual quarters being decided by at least 11 points or more. Minnesota did all of their damage in the middle quarters, outscoring Utah, 66-47. The Jazz fought back with a 34-22 fourth quarter but never recaptured the lead after that dominating 24-minute stretch from the Timberwolves. Minnesota shot 45 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range while holding Utah to 39 percent from the field and 29 percent from long range. They also won the defensive rebounding battle, 40-33.

The Jazz (44-17) were led by Mike Conley, tallying 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Rudy Gobert amassed 18 points, five rebounds, two assists and three blocks. Joe Ingles accrued 10 points, five rebounds and three assists. Royce O'Neale generated six points, 10 rebounds and four assists while Jordan Clarkson provided 13 points, four rebounds and eight assists off the bench.

The Timberwolves (18-44) were led by Karl-Anthony Towns, collecting 21 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. Anthony Edwards had 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists. D'Angelo Russell led the bench with 27 points, two rebounds and 12 assists. Jaden McDaniels compiled six points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Minnesota has to play the second half of a back-to-back set on Tuesday, facing the Houston Rockets on the road. As for Utah, they return on Wednesday in a road matchup with the Sacramento Kings.
