Kings Defeat Mavericks, 113-106
The Sacramento Kings defeated the visiting Dallas Mavericks, 113-106, at Golden 1 Center on Monday.

A 31-17 first quarter really set the tone for Sacramento in this game, holding the lead for all but a few minutes. With that said, there were eight ties and four lead changes in total but the Mavs never led for more than a minute. Sacramento ended up shooting 52 percent from the field, 45 percent from three-point range and 89 percent from the free-throw line while holding Dallas to 47 percent from the field, 29 percent from long range and 57 percent from the charity stripe. In addition, the Kings out-rebounded the Mavericks, 46-40.

The Mavericks (33-27) were led by Luka Doncic, tallying 24 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Tim Hardaway Jr amassed 19 points and two assists. Dorian Finney-Smith generated 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. Trey Burke led the bench with 19 points, two rebounds, five assists and two steals.

The Kings (25-36) were led by Richaun Holmes and his 24 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Harrison Barnes had 19 points, six rebounds and two assists before departing because of an abductor injury. Buddy Hield totaled 16 points, five rebounds and five assists while Tyrese Haliburton collected 14 points, five rebounds, 10 assists and three steals.

Dallas has to play the second half of a back-to-back set on Tuesday, playing the Golden State Warriors on the road. As for Sacramento, they face the Utah Jazz on Wednesday for their next outing.
