Suns Rally Late To End Knicks' Winning Streak
The Phoenix Suns defeated the New York Knicks, 118-110, at Madison Square Garden on Monday evening.

The Suns (43-18) ended the Knicks' (34-27) impressive streak Monday and did in dramatic fashion, as they got off to a slow start only to pick things up in the second half and run away with the win. New York jumped out to a 36-29 lead in the first half and kept that seven-point lead by halftime, meaning the Suns would have to work hard in the second half just to turn things around. Phoenix did exactly that, however, and they responded with a 31-24 score in the third quarter that put the score even with just 12 minutes left on the clock. The Suns were better down the stretch and outscored the Knicks 31-23 in the final frame, securing a big win on the road and ending New York's impressive nine-game winning run, which was the longest active streak in The Association. The Suns shot 54.2 percent from the field, while the Knicks "only" made 51.7 percent of their attempts. Both teams shot at an almost identical clip from long range, too, with the Suns converting 41.2 percent of their treys and the Knicks making 41.4 percent of them.

Devin Booker paced the Suns with a 33-point effort that also included four rebounds and three assists, while Chris Paul notched 20 points, six assists and five boards. DeAndre Ayton had only nine points but contributed 13 rebounds, while Mikal Bridges had 21 points, four rebounds, three dimes and two steals. Cameron Johnson and Cameron Payne shared more than their first name in this one, as both players produced identical 11-point tallies.

Derrick Rose came off the bench to lead the Knicks with 22 points and six assists -- he also pulled down six rebounds. Julius Randle had 18 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Reggie Bullock had 17 points. R.J. Barrett also had 17 points but chipped in with four boards and two dimes as well. Immanuel Quickley had 11 points off the bench.
