Pistons Dominate, Secure Comfortable Win Over Hawks
The Detroit Pistons defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 100-86, at Little Caesars Arena on Monday night.

The Pistons (19-43) got off to an impressive start in this game and quickly showed they meant business, outscoring the Hawks (34-28) by a four-point margin (27-23). Detroit bolstered that advantage even further by winning the second quarter by a 28-21 score and were comfortably up by 11 points heading into the halftime break. Even though the Hawks showed signs of a potential turnaround in the third quarter, where they outscored the Pistons by four points (23-19), they couldn't keep the momentum going and were forced to settle with a loss after dropping the final 12 minutes of action by a 26-19 score. Detroit shot 47.6 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from three-point range in the win, while the Hawks only made 38.8 percent of their field-goal attempts and 14.8 percent of their shots from beyond the arc.

Jerami Grant led the Pistons with 18 points and was one of six players that scored in double digits for Detroit -- he also added four rebounds. Frank Jackson also had 18 points off the bench and chipped in with three boards as well. Cory Joseph had 15 points and four assists, while Saddiq Bey delivered 11 points with eight boards. Mason Plumlee registered 10 points and supplemented that with seven rebounds and three dimes. Hamidou Diallo added 14 points off the bench.

Bogdan Bogdanovic had 17 points to pace the Hawks, while Clint Capela had 12 points and 15 rebounds. John Collins notched 14 points with eight boards, and Kevin Huerter contributed 15 points while adding two steals and two assists. Danilo Gallinari made his presence felt off the bench with 12 points as well.
