Heat Close Out Second Straight Win
The Miami Heat defeated the visiting Houston Rockets, 113-91, at American Airlines Arena on Monday evening.

The contest got out to a competitive start as the Heat held a, 30-28, lead after one quarter. The score stayed tight through the second, but the Rockets managed to pull ahead for a one-point lead by halftime. The Heat picked up the pace in the third quarter and outscored the visitors, 35-19, to take a 15-point lead into the final frame. They kept their focus in the fourth and pushed their lead to a game-high 29 points, on the way to closing out their second straight win.

Kendrick Nunn led the way for the Heat with 30 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, in 38 minutes. Duncan Robinson added 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal, while Andre Iguodala logged 16 points, seven assists, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks. The Heat shot 48 percent from the field, including 19-of-48 from long range.

Meanwhile, Christian Wood totaled 18 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks, while Kevin Porter Jr. tallied 18 points, three assists and two rebounds, to lead the way for the Rockets. John Wall finished with 14 points, six assists, four rebounds and a steal. The Rockets shot 38 percent from the field, including 9-of-38 from long range.

The Rockets (15-43) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Jazz on Wednesday. The Heat (30-28) take on the Spurs in San Antonio on Wednesday.
