Bulls Pull Upset, End Celtics' Winning Streak
The Chicago Bulls defeated the Boston Celtics, 102-96, at TD Garden on Monday evening.

The Bulls (24-33) had a tough assignment since the Celtics (31-27) entered this matchup having won their last six games and 10 of their last 13 contests, but Chicago overcame the absence of Zach LaVine (COVID-19 protocols) to deliver the upset on the road. Boston got off to a better start and jumped to a 30-24 lead in the first quarter, and the game remained with a six-point differential following an 18-18 tie in the second quarter. However, the Bulls responded and pulled away for good in the third with a 32-18 score that essentially put the game out of reach for Boston. The Celtics attempted to turn things around in the final 12 minutes, but it wasn't enough the the Bulls ran away with a win that keeps their playoff chances alive.

Nikola Vucevic led the Bulls with 29 points and nine rebounds -- he also posted two assists, two steals and a block. Coby White had 19 points and seven assists, while Garrett Temple chipped in with 13 points. Thaddeus Young also scored 13 points off the bench for the Bulls, though no other Chicago player scored in double digits. The Bulls shot 45.6 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from three-point range.

Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 23 points and four rebounds, while Payton Pritchard posted 14 points as a starter. Jayson Tatum only had 14 points, but he went off for a triple-double after racking up 13 boards and 10 dimes as well. Tristan Thompson had 11 points. Boston shot 46.8 percent from the field and 40 percent from deep in the loss.
