Cavaliers Win In Final Seconds Against Hawks
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 112-111, at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Tuesday evening.

The Cavaliers (11-21) and the Hawks (13-18) played a nail-biting contest that was only decided in the final seconds of the game, but it was a tight game from start to finish where neither side got the chance to dominate. The Cavaliers held a one-point lead following the first quarter (28-27) and pushed their lead to three points at the break (58-55). The Hawks bounced back in the third quarter and evened things up following a 29-26 score, setting up the stage for a thrilling finish. Both teams went back and forth in the final 12 seconds, but the Cavaliers grabbed a one-point lead late in the fourth after a Lamar Stevens dunk. The Hawks had the chance to win it in the final shot, but Trae Young lost track of the shot clock and made a terrible judgement call in the final play of the contest, denying the Hawks the chance to try to win it at the buzzer.

Collin Sexton carried the Cavaliers on offense with a 29-point performance, while Darius Garland had another strong performance and ended with 17 points and eight assists. Jarrett Allen only had 13 points, but he also supplied 14 boards and four blocks. Lamar Stevens made the game-winning dunk but only had eight points off the bench. The Cavaliers shot 52.6 percent from the field and 53.6 percent from three-point range in the win.

Trae Young was the best player for the Hawks and contributed 28 points with 12 assists. Kevin Huerter chipped in with 22 points and four steals, while Clint Capela had a strong double-double of 12 points and 17 rebounds. John Collins only had 13 points and Tony Snell had 11. The Hawks shot 44.9 percent from the field and 45.2 percent from deep.

Pistons End Three-Game Slide
The Detroit Pistons defeated the host Orlando Magic, 105-93, at Amway Center on Tuesday evening.

The Pistons got out to a strong start on the road with a, 34-24, lead after one quarter. The Magic bounced back in the second and rallied to cut it to a two-point game by halftime. The Pistons reclaimed control in the third quarter, as they outscored the hosts by 12 points, to push their lead to 14, heading into the final frame. The Pistons stayed in control and pushed their lead as high as 20 points in the fourth, as they cruised to the much-need win, ending a three-game slide, while the loss marks the end of a three-game win streak for the Magic.

Saben Lee led the Pistons with 21 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals, in 28 minutes off the bench. Josh Jackson added 18 points, seven rebounds and two blocks, while Jerami Grant totaled 17 points, seven rebounds, six assists and a steal. The Pistons shot 47 percent from the field, including 10-of-34 from long range.

Meanwhile, Nikola Vucevic led the Pistons with 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks, in 32 minutes. Evan Fournier added 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal, while Terrence Ross chipped in 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and a block. The Magic shot just 38 percent from the field, including 14-of-38 from deep.

The Magic (13-19) will look to bounce back as they take on the Nets in Brooklyn on Thursday. The Pistons take on the Pelicans in New Orleans on Wednesday.

Mavericks Defeat Celtics In Final Seconds
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Boston Celtics, 110-107, at American Airlines Center on Tuesday evening.

The Mavericks (15-15) and the Celtics (15-16) played a tight contest that went down the wire, and the matchup was decided in the final seconds of the game. Dallas got off to a better start and earned a three-point edge in the first quarter (34-31), but the Celtics responded with a 25-21 second quarter that fetched them a one-point advantage. Dallas grabbed the lead once again with a 25-20 score in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics responded and the game remained close in the final seconds. In fact, a lay-up from Jaylen Brown tied everything at 107-107 with only a few seconds left in the game, but Luka Doncic had the final saying about what was going to happen. The star guard drained the game-winning three with 0.1 seconds left on the clock and lifted the Mavericks to a huge win that puts them at the .500 mark once again.

Luka Doncic made the game-winning shot and led the Mavericks offensively with 31 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Jalen Brunson had a magnificent game off the bench and chipped in with 22 points, two rebounds and two assists. Jason Richardson posted 16 points and four boards while Tim Hardaway Jr. ended with 14 points and three dimes coming off the bench. Dallas shot 47.2 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from deep.

Jaylen Brown paced the Celtics with a 29-point performance while also adding seven rebounds and five assists, and Jayson Tatum chipped in with 28 points, six rebounds and four assists. Kemba Walker ended with 21 points and four rebounds despite shooting 4-for-11 from deep. The Celtics shot 47.1 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from three-point range in the loss.

Nets Notch Seventh Straight Win
The Brooklyn Nets defeated the visiting Sacramento Kings, 127-118, at Barclays Center on Tuesday evening.

The Nets got out to a great start at home with a, 42-28, lead after one quarter. The Kings responded in the second, where they outscored the hosts by eight points, to cut it to a six-point game by halftime. The Kings stayed strong in the third quarter and kept it a close game as they managed to trim the deficit to just two points, heading into the final frame. However, the Nets picked up the pace in the fourth and rallied ahead to a double digit lead late in the quarter. This marks the seventh straight win for the Nets, while it marks the eighth straight loss for the Kings.

James Harden led the way for the Nets with 29 points, 14 assists, 11 rebounds and a steal, in 40 minutes. Bruce Brown added 29 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal, while Kyrie Irving totaled 21 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals. The Nets shot 49 percent from the field, including 17-of-40 from long range.

Meanwhile, De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 27 points, eight assists and a block, in 38 minutes. Tyrese Haliburton followed up with 23 points, nine assists, five rebounds, three steals and a block, while Harrison Barnes added 18 points, three rebounds and a steal. The Kings shot 52 percent from the field, including 15-of-31 from long range.

The Kings (12-19) will look to tend the slide as they take on the Knicks in New York on Thursday. The Nets (21-12) play host to the Magic on Thursday.

Warriors Topple Knicks, 114-106
The Golden State Warriors defeated the New York Knicks, 114-106, at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.

The Warriors (17-15) figured they'd be in for an uphill battle versus the elite defense of the Knicks (15-17), but the two teams surprisingly combined for 67 points during a first quarter that Golden State emerged from with a 36-31 lead. However, New York had eliminated their deficit and forged a four-point lead by halftime courtesy of holding the visitors to 19 second-quarter points. The Dubs then managed to change the dynamic during a 39-point third quarter that put them back on top by nine, and although the home squad battled back to forge a 97-97 tie with 3:50 remaining, but the Warriors finished on a 17-9 run to secure the victory.

Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with 37 points, complementing them with six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Kelly Oubre furnished 19 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three blocks. Andrew Wiggins delivered 16 points, five rebounds, one assist and one block. James Wiseman came off the bench to contributed 14 points, two rebounds and one assist.

Julius Randle paced the Knicks with 25 points, supplementing them with 10 rebounds and seven assists. Elfrid Payton supplied 20 points, four assists and three rebounds. Derrick Rose registered 16 points, eight assists, four rebounds, one steal and one block. Nerlens Noel and Alec Burks had matching eight-point, five-rebound tallies, while Taj Gibson matched his teammates' scoring tally and pulled down 11 rebounds.

The Warriors remain on the road and face the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, while the Knicks remain home and tangle with the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night.

76ers Get Past Raptors, 109-102
The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Toronto Raptors, 109-102, at Amalie Arena on Tuesday night.

The 76ers' (21-11) quest for a bit of vengeance following a loss to the Raptors (16-16) on Sunday seemed to be off to an excellent start after Philadelphia jumped out to a 37-18 lead through one. Toronto chipped six points off its deficit prior to halftime, but the visitors still held a 14-point advantage going into the final period. However, the home squad battled back to get within five points with just 10.6 seconds left before Tobias Harris sealed the win with a pair of free throws.

Harris led the 76ers with 23 points, adding seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal. Furkan Korkmaz followed with 19 points, supplementing them with seven boards and two assists. Joel Embiid generated an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double that also included two assists, one steal and one block. Ben Simmons managed 15 points, nine boards, seven assists and one block. Danny Green and Shake Milton generated matching 11-point tallies, with Green also recording five rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Norman Powell paced the Raptors with 24 points, adding six assists, four rebounds and three steals. Pascal Siakam delivered 22 points, seven assists, six rebounds, three steals and one block. Fred VanVleet pitched in 12 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, four blocks and two steals. Aron Baynes contributed 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and one block, while OG Anunoby and Chris Boucher had 10 points apiece.

The 76ers head back home to face the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night, while the Raptors visit the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.

Bucks Earn Third Straight Win
The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, 139-112, at Fiserv Forum on Tuesday evening.

The contest got out to a high-scoring start with the Bucks taking a, 38-36, lead after one quarter. The Bucks continued the high-scoring effort in the second, while they also turned up the defense, as they outscored the visitors by 15 points in the quarter, to take a 17-point lead into the break. The Bucks picked up where they left off in the third, as they expanded their lead to 24 points, heading into the final frame. The Timberwolves had no answers in the fourth, as the Bucks stayed in control and closed out their third straight win. This marks the fifth straight loss for the Timberwolves.

Seven players scored in double digits for the Bucks, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with 37 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks. Bryn Forbes added 23 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Khris Middleton finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. The Bucks shot 54 percent from the field, including 20-of-42 from deep.

Meanwhile, Karl-Anthony Towns led the way for the Timberwolves with 26 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds and a steal, in 35 minutes. Malik Beasley aded 26 points, four assists and a steal, while Ricky Rubio totaled 12 points, four assists and four rebounds. The Timberwolves shot 43 percent from the field, including 19-of-54 from long range.

The Timberwolves (7-25) will look to bounce back as they take on the Bulls in Chicago on Wednesday. The Bucks (19-13) play host to the Pelicans on Thursday.

Nuggets Defeat Trail Blazers, 111-106
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 111-106, at Ball Arena on Tuesday.

There were 15 ties and 10 lead changes in this game, staying within a single-digit margin for all but two minutes. The Nuggets outscored the Trail Blazers in the first and fourth quarters, 67-53. An 11-2 run when it was tied with six minutes remaining was the key stretch for Denver, with Portland never having a chance to tie after that. The Nuggets ended up recording eight steals while the Trail Blazers didn't record a single one. That allowed Denver to win the turnover differential, 9-1. That also allowed them to outscore the Blazers in points off of turnovers, 16-0.

The Trail Blazers (18-13) were led by Damian Lillard, tallying 25 points, seven rebounds and 15 assists. Derrick Jones Jr amassed 18 points, five rebounds and three blocks. Enes Kanter totaled 16 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks while Gary Trent had 18 points as well. Carmelo Anthony led the bench with 24 points and four rebounds.

The Nuggets (17-14) were led by Nikola Jokic and his 41 points, five rebounds and five assists on 17-of-32 from the field. Jamal Murray generated 24 points, five rebounds, eight assists and two steals, with 19 of those points coming in the fourth quarter. Michael Porter Jr compiled 12 points and 10 rebounds while Will Barton accrued nine points, seven rebounds and two assists.

Denver returns to action on Thursday, playing host to the Washington Wizards. As for Portland, theyplay on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers on the road.

Clippers Roll Wizards, 135-116
The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the visiting Washington Wizards, 135-116, at Staples Center on Tuesday.

A 36-20 first quarter really set the tone for Los Angeles in this game, winning in wire-to-wire fashion. Washington got it down to a five-point margin at the end of the third quarter but the Clippers took care of business with a 36-22 fourth quarter to complete their blowout win. Los Angeles ended up out-rebounding Washington, 46-36. The Clippers also shot 57 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range. In addition, Los Angeles doubled up Washington in bench points, 58-29.

The Wizards (11-18) were led by Bradley Beal and his 28 points, four rebounds and 10 assists. Russell Westbrook collected 20 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists. Moritz Wagner was the only player with more than 10 points, generating 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Rui Hachimura also had 10 points, nine rebounds and two assists.

The Clippers (23-10) were led by Kawhi Leonard, tallying 32 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Paul George totaled 30 points, six rebounds and three assists. Those two combined to shoot 24-of-37 from the field and no other starter had more than six points. Reggie Jackson led the bench with 17 points while Iciva Zubac compiled 12 points and 12 boards.

On deck for Washington is a road matchup with the Denver Nuggets on Thursday. As for Los Angeles, they travel to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday as well for their next outing,
