Cavaliers Win In Final Seconds Against Hawks
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 112-111, at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Tuesday evening.

The Cavaliers (11-21) and the Hawks (13-18) played a nail-biting contest that was only decided in the final seconds of the game, but it was a tight game from start to finish where neither side got the chance to dominate. The Cavaliers held a one-point lead following the first quarter (28-27) and pushed their lead to three points at the break (58-55). The Hawks bounced back in the third quarter and evened things up following a 29-26 score, setting up the stage for a thrilling finish. Both teams went back and forth in the final 12 seconds, but the Cavaliers grabbed a one-point lead late in the fourth after a Lamar Stevens dunk. The Hawks had the chance to win it in the final shot, but Trae Young lost track of the shot clock and made a terrible judgement call in the final play of the contest, denying the Hawks the chance to try to win it at the buzzer.

Collin Sexton carried the Cavaliers on offense with a 29-point performance, while Darius Garland had another strong performance and ended with 17 points and eight assists. Jarrett Allen only had 13 points, but he also supplied 14 boards and four blocks. Lamar Stevens made the game-winning dunk but only had eight points off the bench. The Cavaliers shot 52.6 percent from the field and 53.6 percent from three-point range in the win.

Trae Young was the best player for the Hawks and contributed 28 points with 12 assists. Kevin Huerter chipped in with 22 points and four steals, while Clint Capela had a strong double-double of 12 points and 17 rebounds. John Collins only had 13 points and Tony Snell had 11. The Hawks shot 44.9 percent from the field and 45.2 percent from deep.
