Grizzlies Confident In Road Win
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the host Portland Trail Blazers, 120-113, at Moda Center on Sunday afternoon.

The contest got out to a slow start as the Grizzlies led, 23-20, after one quarter. They picked up the pace in the second and outscored the hosts by eight points in the quarter, to push their lead to 11, by halftime. Both teams came out strong in the third but after a high-scoring quarter, the Trail Blazers could not cut into the deficit. They kept pushing through the fourth, but the Grizzlies held strong and closed out their second straight win. This marks the fifth straight loss for the Trail Blazers.

Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 28 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals, in 30 minutes. Jonas Valanciunas added 20 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Dillon Brooks chipped in 18 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and a steal. The Grizzlies shot 46 percent from the field, including 12-of-23 from long range.

Meanwhile, C.J. McCollum led the Trail Blazers with 27 points, three assists and two rebounds, in 37 minutes. Damian Lillard added 23 points, six rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block, while Jusuf Nurkic logged 16 points, 19 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal. The Blazers shot 37 percent from the field, including 14-of-38 from deep.

The Trail Blazers (32-28) will look to bounce back as they take on the Pacers in Indiana. The Grizzlies (31-28) take on the Nuggets in Denver on Monday.
