Pelicans Notch Second Straight Win
The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the host Cleveland Cavaliers, 116-109, at Rocket Mortgage Field House on Sunday evening.

The Cavs got out to a great start at home with a, 39-29, lead after one quarter. They pushed their lead to a game-high 13 points, early in the second, but the Pelicans rallied back to cut it to a six-point game by halftime. The Pelicans stayed strong to start the third and tied it up early in the quarter, but the Cavs pushed back to take a four-point game, heading into the final frame. The Pelicans started the fourth on an, 11-5, run to grab a two-point lead. The Cavs hit a three-pointer to briefly regain the lead, but the Pelicans responded with a, 15-7, run from there, to close out the road win. It marks the second straight win for the Pelicans, while it marks the second straight loss for the Cavs.

Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 38 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks, in 36 minutes. Brandon Ingram tallied 27 points, eight assists, four rebounds and a steal, while Naji Marshall added 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block. The Pelicans shot 51 percent from the field, including 7-of-24 from long range.

Meanwhile, Dean Wade led the Cavs with 21 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists, in 31 minutes. Kevin Love totaled 19 points, five rebounds, three assists and a block, while Isaac Okoro tallied 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal. The Cavs shot 48 percent from the field, including 13-of-40 from long range.

The Cavs (19-34) will look to bounce back as they take on the Hornets in Charlotte on Wednesday. The Pelicans (24-29) play host to the Kings on Monday.
