T'Wolves Defeat Jazz, 101-96
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host Utah Jazz, 101-96, at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Saturday.

While Utah entered this game as a monster favorite, Minnesota was able to overcome a 40-26 first quarter en route to a comeback win. In fact, the Timberwolves outscored the Jazz in the middle quarters, 56-34 to grab that upset victory. The Timberwolves shot 44 percent from the field while holding the Jazz to just 40 percent shooting. In addition, Minnesota recorded 13 steals while winning the turnover battle, 20-13. The T'Wolves also outscored the Jazz in the paint, 56-26.

The Timberwolves (17-44) were led by Karl-Anthony Towns, tallying 24 points, 12 rebounds and three assists. Anthony Edwards amassed 23 points, nine rebounds, four assists and five steals. D'Angelo Russell led the bench with 23 points, three rebounds and two steals. No other player had more than eight points.

The Jazz (44-16) were led by Bojan Bogdanovic, collecting 30 points, four rebounds and two assists. Mike Conley accrued 18 points, two rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Rudy Gobert compiled nine points and 17 rebounds. Jordan Clarkson led the bench with 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Joe Ingles also had three points and seven assists.

These teams will actually have a rematch on Monday for their next game but that will be in Minnesota.
