Mavs Rally For Third Straight Win
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the visiting Los Angeles Lakers, 108-93, at American Airlines Center on Saturday evening.

The contest got out to a tight start as the Lakers led by three-points after one quarter. They turned it up a notch in the second and rallied ahead to a 12-point lead by halftime. However, the Mavs responded in the third quarter and outscored the visitors by 12, to tie it up at 79, heading into the final frame. The Mavs kept their foot on the gas through the fourth and outscored the visitors by 15 points in the quarter to close out their third consecutive win, while this marks the third straight loss for the Lakers.

Dwight Powell was the high-point man for the Mavericks, with 25 points on 11-of-12 shooting, in 28 minutes. Dorian Finney-Smith totaled 21 points, seven rebounds and two assists, while Luka Doncic finished with 18 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds. The Mavs shot 48 percent from the field, including 13-of-30 from deep.

Meanwhile, Ben McLemore led the Lakers with 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting, in 29 minutes. Dennis Schroder added 16 points, 10 assists, four rebounds and a steal, while Anthony Davis chipped in 17 points, three rebounds and three assists. The Lakers shot 38 percent from the field, including 12-of-45 from long range.

The Lakers (35-25) will look to bounce back as they take on the Magic in Orlando on Monday. The Mavericks (33-26) take on the Kings in Sacramento on Monday.
