Hawks Defeat T'Wolves, 134-122
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, 134-122, at State Farm Arena on Wednesday.

This was a true tale of two halves, with only one lead change in total. In fact, Minnesota got out to a 16-point lead in the second quarter but Atlanta responded with a 45-20 third quarter to take control of this game. That 35-point swing happened in 25 minutes of game action. Atlanta shot 52 percent from the field while holding Minnesota to 43 percent shooting. In addition, they out-assisted the Timberwolves, 34-21. The Hawks also tripled up the T'Wolves in blocks, 9-3.

The Timberwolves (22-23) were led by D'Angelo Russell and his 31 points, two rebounds, five assists and two steals. Anthony Edwards amassed 20 points and five rebounds before a third quarter ejection. Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 17 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Malik Beasley led the bench with 16 points and three rebounds.

The Hawks (19-25) were led by Trae Young and his 37 points, five rebounds and 14 assists. De'Andre Hunter accrued 22 points and five rebounds. John Collins compiled 17 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Onyeka Okungwu totaled 17 points, eight rebounds and five blocks, while Danilo Gallinari led the bench with 15 points and six rebounds.

On deck for Atlanta is a home matchup with the Miami Heat on Friday. As for Minnesota, they're off until Sunday when they play host to the Brooklyn Nets.
