Jazz Defeat Hornets, 132-110
The Utah Jazz defeated the visiting Charlotte Hornets, 132-110, at Vivint Smar Home Arena on Monday.

There were 12 ties and 12 lead changes through the first three quarters of this game but Utah rode a 41-20 fourth quarter to a blowout win. In fact, they started that quarter on a 20-2 run and held a double-digit lead from there on out. The Jazz shot 53 percent from the field and 51 percent from three-point range while holding the Hornets to 46 percent from the field and 31 percent from long range. Utah actually set a franchise record by going 28-of-55 from long range. The Jazz also out-rebounded the Hornets, 45-35, while outscoring the Hornets bench, 66-31.

The Hornets (14-16) were led by Gordon Hayward and his 21 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. LaMelo Ball amassed 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. P.J. Washington tallied 17 points, three rebounds, four assists and four steals. Malik Monk led the bench with 20 points and six boards.

The Jazz (25-6) were led by Donovan Mitchell, tallying 23 points, four rebounds and eight assists. Mike Conley totaled 15 points, two rebounds, five assists and three steals. Rudy Gobert generated 10 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks. Joe Ingles and Georges Niang had 21 points apiece to lead the bench, combining to go 14-of-17 from three-point range.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday, with Charlotte remaining on the road to face the Phoenix Suns and Utah staying home to play the Los Angeles Lakers.
