Ugochukwu (hamstring) is continuing his recovery and he looks to return to training in the next few weeks, per manager Mauricio Pochettino. "Lesley is doing his recovery. We will see if in a few weeks he can again be part of the training sessions with the first team. But it is day by day that we are assessing these guys".

Ugochukwu's return to the pitch is coming down to the wire as he is not ready to return to team training yet following his hamstring injury that has kept him out since December. He has about 4-5 week left to try to work back his fitness if he wants to see time on the pitch again before the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign. However, the midfielder has struggled to keep healthy while only seeing three starts in 10 appearances since joining Chelsea from France in the summer.
