ANALYSIS
Hirano previously spent 11 years with the Buffaloes, saving 156 games and posting a 3.10 ERA before heading to MLB in 2018. In three seasons at the highest level, he saved eight games and recorded a 3.69 ERA. Heading into his age-37 season, it's not yet clear whether or not he'll be able to unseat incumbent closer Brandon Dickson, who's saved 34 games for the Buffaloes over the last two years.
