Not competitive in Paris loss
BantamweightUFC
September 2, 2023
Rodrigues lost to Farid Basharat via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 4:15 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
It's been a disastrous past few months for Rodrigues. His fight against Tatsuro Taira scheduled for late-June was cancelled after he missed weight by three pounds. He finally got back in the Octagon here against Basharat and couldn't last a round. Kleydson was predictably overwhelmed the second Farid attempted to lean on his wrestling game, eventually tapping out to the arm-triangle choke with just 45 seconds left in the opening frame. The Brazilian has alternated losses and wins since making his official company debut in May 2022.
New fight scheduled

ANALYSIS
Rodrigues' next fight will be against a Basharat brother who is undefeated across his 10 professional fights. The former missed weight prior to his bouts against Tatsuro Taira and Shannon Ross, the latter of whom Rodrigues was able to fight and defeat at UFC 284.

Rodrigues will take on Tatsuro Taira at the UFC event on June 24, Team Iridium Sports Agency reports.
ANALYSIS
Rodrigues secured a stoppage victory in February against Shannon Ross after missing weight by one pound. That was his eighth victory in ten career fights in the UFC. He will get un up-and-comer who has looked pretty dominant in his first three times in the Octagon.
Easy win after weight miss
BantamweightUFC
February 11, 2023
Rodrigues defeated Shannon Ross via TKO (punches) at 0:59 of Round 1 at UFC 284 on Saturday in Perth, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Rodrigues looked great and almost certainly would be in line for a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, but he's not eligible for one because he missed weight by a pound on Friday morning. As far as the action inside the Octagon goes, Rodrigues responded in a major way from his split decision loss to C.J. Vergara in his company debut last May. The Brazilian obviously needs to get his weight-cutting issues under control, but he's not without talent. We'll see how he fares on the scale his next time out.
