Linked to Canucks in trade
Studnicka is apparently on the verge of being traded to the Canucks on Thursday, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
Studnicka has found himself as the odd-man-out often in Boston, so this would amount to a fresh start for the forward. He'd likely still have to settle for a bottom-six role with the Canucks at the start of his tenure. The return in the trade isn't known.

2018
Studnicka is on the verge of cracking the NHL roster after he notched 23 goals and 49 points with AHL Providence last season. He also made his NHL debut in 2019-20, playing two games and earning a single assist. The second-round pick from 2017 will likely have to play outside of his natural center position if he's going to make the Opening Night roster, but there's plenty of reason to believe he can do it. His offensive production is likely to be limited in 2020-21, but dynasty-league managers who haven't invested in the Ontario native should do so now before it's too late -- his strong two-way game will likely lead to a productive career.
