Hopeful to have charges dropped
Baker's attorney, Patrick G. Patel, said Wednesday that he expects to have his client's charges dropped in connection with the 22-year-old's arrest in Florida on May 13 on four counts of armed robbery and four counts of aggravated assault, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports. "As soon this dismissal goes [through], he's going to head back to Jersey and start practicing," Patel said of Baker. "If it becomes a charge, then the NFL will suspend him. So the Giants are really just playing it cool right now, which is the right thing to do. Just do nothing until the state makes a decision on what they're going to do."

Tagovailoa has taken the initiative of getting to know a large number of his new teammates and is bonding with veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in particular, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports. "Just creating relationships," Tagovailoa said. "Maybe starting out with the quarterbacks and then working my way down to the linemen or starting with the linemen, but just creating relationships a little at a time. Especially during times like this, it's hard, so I think that'd be best."
