While many teams have de-emphasized the fullback position, Sherman returns in 2019 for his seventh straight season with the Chiefs. The veteran played just 99 snaps last season, his lowest total in Kansas City, and rushed just one time for two yards. He did make a slight impact in the passing game, snaring eight passes for 96 yards and a score, but Sherman shouldn't be counted on for much outside of his role as a lead blocker.
Sherman doesn't typically carry the rock for the Chiefs, but he does have a lengthy career blocking for Kansas City's productive running backs. Ths year, he will be charged with paving the way for last year's league-leading rusher, Kareem Hunt.
Sherman has served as the Chiefs' fullback in each of the last four seasons, paving the way for multiple productive running backs in that time. However, he hasn't received more than two carries in a campaign and hasn't scored a touchdown since 2014. Unless the club suffers numerous injuries at the running back position, it's unlikely he will see much of a rushing workload.
Should serve as the team’s fullback once again in 2016 but that translated to just one rushing attempt and four receptions last season.
Sherman will likely serve as the fullback again in 2015, but that amounted to just two carries for eight yards last season.
Sherman, who will be the starting fullback for the Chiefs this season, doesn't offer a ton of fantasy upside after carrying the the ball just twice, while catching 18 passes for 155 yards for the team in 2013.
Sherman will compete for a roster spot at fullback.
Will start at fullback in 2012, but is on a team that doesn't often utilize the fullback on offense. Sherman caught eight passes and carried the ball once last year, and with more healthy running backs in the Cards' backfield this year, Sherman may see even less than that this season.
Sherman, who blazed the path for RB Jordan Todman's 3,179-yard career at UConn, will provide fullback depth as a rookie but will eventually unseat Reagan Maui'a at the top of the depth chart. He won't make a fantasy impact, but he'll look to turn things around for 2010's 32nd-ranked rushing attack.
