Dre'Mont Jones

27-Year-Old Defensive EndDE
Seattle Seahawks
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Jones leveraged a strong four-year run in Denver into a three-year, $51.5 million contract with Seattle this offseason. A disruptive force on the defensive line, Jones has registered 119 tackles, including 25 tackles for loss, and 18.5 sacks through 42 games over the last three seasons. The 26-year-old is locked into a starting role at defensive end for the Seahawks, and he should provide some IDP appeal as long as he can stay healthy. Read Past Outlooks

February 1, 2024
Jones recorded 49 tackles (26 solo) and 4.5 sacks across 17 games during the 2023 regular season.
ANALYSIS
This was just the second time in five seasons that Jones played more than 14 games, and it translated into a career high in tackles during his first year in Seattle. However, he posted his lowest sack total since his rookie campaign despite averaging 43.4 snaps per game. He's lined up to start again in 2024 as he goes into the second year of a three-year, $51 million contract.

Expected to test market
DEDenver Broncos
March 3, 2023
The Broncos aren't expected to use the franchise tag on Jones, so he will have an opportunity to test the free agent market this offseason, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
ANALYSIS
Jones should get plenty of attention in free agency as arguably the top defensive end on the market. He has 22 sacks through four NFL seasons and tied his career high with 6.5 sacks in 2022.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Jones is proving to be an impact player on defense as the 25-year-old finished the 2021 campaign with 31 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery. His 5.5 sacks were the second-most of any Broncos defender in 2021. As Jones enters the final year of his rookie contract this season, he'll look to take another step forward before becoming a free agent in 2023.
The third-year defensive end is a versatile defender who can play multiple positions on the defensive line and enters 2021 with the potential to earn a starting role in coach Vic Fangio's defense. Even with a knee injury that cost him three games in 2020, Jones logged 41 tackles and 6.5 sacks last season.
