FanDuel Sportsbook: Week 15 Tickets

FanDuel Sportsbook: Week 15 Tickets

This article is part of our NFL Picks series.

The Week 14 tickets went 2-2, with the Falcons amazingly coming through for us, and in particular Devonta Freeman, who scored a touchdown in their 40-26 win over Carolina, hitting a +220 bet. Additionally, the Bengals kept just close enough to the Browns in their 27-19 loss to let us hit the +130 bet of the Bengals +8.5 and over 34.5. The long-shot Alexander Mattison touchdown didn't come to fruition despite 16 touches, though Dalvin Cook did score in the 20-7 Vikings win for those who took that one at -145. Finally, the Texans blew our four-game parlay of the teams favored by at least 9.5 only having to cover 3.5, as they lost at home to the Broncos 38-24 while the Vikings, Eagles and Packers all took care of business.

With three opportunities left in the regular season, let's dive into Week 15.

Chris Carson anytime touchdown and Seahawks win (+120)

I was tempted at the Chris Carson to rush for 100 yards and a Seahawks win at +172, but with Seattle favored by 6.5 in Cincinnati and Carson having -150 odds to score a touchdown, we'll roll with the easier one. The Panthers have been atrocious against the run this season, allowing the second-most rushing yards to running backs and their 21 rushing touchdowns allowed to running backs are the most in the league by a margin of seven. Carson figures to get all the work he can handle after Rashaad Penny was ruled out for the season with a torn ACL, and the matchup for this bet couldn't be better, with the Panthers allowing six running back touchdowns in the past three games.

Chris Godwin to have 100+ receiving yards and Buccaneers win (+174)

Godwin has been an inconsistent star this season, but he's a fantasy darling for Week 15 because of the expected increase in targets after Mike Evans was ruled out with a hamstring injury. He's only eclipsed 100 yards once in the past seven games, but the Lions have allowed the fifth-most receiving yards to wideouts this season, and the Buccaneers come in as 5.5-point road favorites, even with quarterback Jameis Winston dealing with a fracture in his right (throwing) thumb. Other players are likely to get bigger roles as well since they have to make up for Evans' 8.7 targets per game, but Godwin has he ability to hit 100 yards on as little as two catches anyway.

Saints -7.5 vs. Colts and over 46.5 (+195)

The Saints are 9.5-point home favorites against the Colts with a 47.5-point total, so we get a bit of a discount on each bet (the spreads and totals are both -110 on both sides) with the expectation that the Saints can handle their side against a Colts team that allowed 69 points in the past two games. New Orleans' defense is strong, so there could be some hesitation that the Colts hold up their end of the bargain, but the payoff is solid for those willing to risk it.

Rams and Cowboys to both score 25 (+340)

The Texans vs. Titans game total of 51.5 is the highest of Week 15 and with a 3.0-point spread, the both teams scoring 25 (+230) is one I considered as well. The Rams vs. Cowboys' total of 48.5 is still solid, though with a spread of only 1.5 points, we should expect a decent amount of points on both sides. The Rams seems to have gotten out of their funk, scoring 62 points in their last two games, a span that saw Dallas put up only 39. However, the Rams' defense isn't as strong as what they faced, and with both teams battling for their playoff lives, they'll need to keep pace if one runs out early.
