fnatic vs. mousesports

We've got a two-game slate ahead of us, as the finals of ESL Pro League are set to start. The first matchup of the day will be fnatic vs. mousesports, who are set to duke it out in a best-of-five series to decide who becomes the champion of the European portion of ESL Pro League.

Interestingly, these two teams faced off in last year's final, and it was mousesports who came out on top with a 3–0 sweep. Both Brollan and ropz had excellent showings, leading their respective sides by quite a margin. ropz led all players with 74 kills and a K/D differential of plus-29, and Brollan was the only player on his team who was in the green, with 71 kills and a K/D differential of plus-13. However, it was fnatic who came out on top in the group stage this season, and KRIMZ was the guy to target, topping the server with 89 fantasy points on DraftKings. I like both of these guys the most on fnatic, though both flusha and JW make for solid contrarian plays. JW is particularly interesting, as picking him allows you to build some top-heavy lineups with great captain's picks.

I like ropz the most on the side of mousesports. This guy has been the epitome of consistency for his team ever since this roster was formed. In fact, he hasn't finished in the red a

I like ropz the most on the side of mousesports. This guy has been the epitome of consistency for his team ever since this roster was formed. In fact, he hasn't finished in the red a single time these two sides have met, regardless of the result. frozen has been excellent this year as well, and he makes for the second-best option on mousesports. I also think that woxic should be considered in GPPs despite his poor form, as he definitely has the upside to give you a great return at just $6,800.

fnatic Players to Target: Brollan ($7,600), KRIMZ ($7,200), JW ($6,000)
mousesports Players to Target: ropz ($8,400), frozen ($8,000), woxic ($6,800)

Liquid vs. Evil Geniuses

Liquid will face off against Evil Geniuses in the final of the North American portion of ESL Pro League. One thing worth noting is that Liquid will start with a one-map advantage in this best-of-five series because they came through the upper-bracket. This means that both teams will receive GLA for that map based on their performance in the rest of the series. We could potentially see a short game here with some players benefiting from the GLA scoring. It also needs to be emphasized just how dominant Liquid have been in this matchup throughout history, never losing against this iteration of Evil Geniuses in a best-of-three. I would personally gravitate towards Liquid players, and EliGE is by far the best option. He leads his team in just about every relevant statistical category, including kills/round (0.81), K/D ratio (1.25), assists/round (0.17), four-kill rounds (six), and opening kills (57). Another player who I feel very comfortable rostering is NAF, who has been the second-best scorer alongside EliGE. You can make an argument for rostering any of the other three, but I personally like Twistzz the most.

While Evil Geniuses will be a big underdog in this matchup, they can certainly compete, and it is Brehze and CeRq who remain the top plays. Both of these guys have shown up in their previous meetings with Liquid this season, so they are more than capable of putting up numbers even in a losing effort. It is also worth mentioning that Ethan had a decent showing in their most recent match against FURIA. He has been far too inconsistent for me to recommend rostering him with confidence, but I do think that he makes for a good contrarian play.

Liquid Players to Target: EliGE ($8,200), NAF ($7,200), Twistzz ($7,000)
Evil Geniuses Players to Target: Brehze ($7,800), CeRq ($7,400)
