DFS College Basketball: Sunday Preview

DFS College Basketball: Sunday Preview

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

Sunday sees a four-game slate on DraftKings, featuring Villanova as the only ranked team. Villanova has the highest implied total with 79.25 projected points. The other three games are projected to be decided by no more than 5.5 points. DraftKings offers its $10 Big Jam Contest with $2,000 in total prizes. Let's get on to the action.

Top Players

Nick Muszynski, F, Belmont ($8,900 DK)

Muszynski is the Bruins' leading scorer in the game that has the highest projected total (143.5). He is averaging 17.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.0 blocks in 28.6 minutes over the first seven games this season. In the last two contests, he posted 52.8 and 42.5 DK points. Also, he leads his team with a 30.8 percent usage rate. In another game that Belmont is favored, Muszynski could easily be one of the highest scorers on the slate. You could pivot to Grayson Murphy ($8,900) instead, but he is slightly more expensive and he's managed no more than 18 DK points in two of his last three games.

Justin Moore, G, Villanova ($7,700 DK)

As mentioned above, the Wildcats have the highest implied total and are projected to have the largest margin of victory. It would be ideal to have some shares of this team, but there are multiple players that can lead any given night. Moore has been a model of consistently in fantasy, scoring right around 30 DK points most games. He leads Villanova in usage rate (27.7 percent), points (17.8) and minutes (34.4). You can't go wrong with Jermaine Samuels ($8,500) or Collin Gillespie ($7,800), but Moore is cheaper than both of them.

Middle Tier

Harrison Ingram, F, Stanford ($6,300 DK)

Ingram has a mid-tier pricing despite being the go-to guy early in the season for Stanford. He started in five of his six games in which he produced over 20 DK points. In addition, he leads the Cardinals with 12.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 29 minutes this season. Despite all this, he has just the third-highest usage rate among starters and fourth on the team with 20.7 percent.

Jabari Walker, F, Colorado ($6,000 DK)

Just like Harrison Ingram, Walker is a mid-tier price who is a team-leader and constantly puts up high-end points. He is averaging 30.1 DK points per game, and has eclipsed 20 points every game this season. He is the Buffaloes' leading rebounder and second-highest scorer. On the season, he is averaging 14.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, one assist and one block in 27.8 minutes. To add to this, he leads Colorado with a 27.2 percent usage rate. Walker is a great steal at the $6K range.

Value Plays

Jack Clark, G, La Salle ($5,300 DK)

Clark is a risky pick, but he could pay off. He's put together two elite performances and two mediocre performances in four games this season. He's averaging 24.6 DK points, but failed to score more than 15 in two of them. However, he leads the Explorers in playing time with 33.8 minutes. In addition, he is averaging 10.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.5 blocks this season. Despite facing a tough opponent in Villanova, someone has to score for La Salle.

Will Richard, G, Belmont ($5,000 DK)

Richard is a great value pick in a game that has the highest expected point total. He is one of three Bruins that average double figures (11.1) and his playing time has increased over the last couple games after being bumped up to a starting role. The $5K price range is too cheap for someone who averages 25.3 DK points a game. In addition, he leads the team with seven rebounds a game.
