DFS Rookie - Let's Win a Double Up

Jose Calderon burned me Wednesday in my 2015-16 DFS Hoops debut.

As a result, he won't be on any of my teams the rest of the season.

PG - Kyle Lowry ($7,800) -- As D.J. Trainor, Eric Caturia, and Kevin O'Brien have told me (and as noted in this space six days ago), Dallas has old guards. Lowry should be able to exploit the matchup.

PG - Mike Conley ($6,600) -- It's taking all of my restraint to pass on Emmanuel Mudiay here. Conley is projected to be the second-highest point guard on the board tonight according to the RotoWire projections, and the point is very thin in terms of top-tier options Tuesday night.

SG - Eric Gordon ($5,200) -- The Pelicans are still the Pelicans, but the Bobcats are now the Hornets? OK. I'm intrigued at this price due to Jrue Holiday's current workload limitations and the absence of Tyreke Evans until December. Let's chalk up that dud against Golden State to foul trouble.

SG - Jimmy Butler ($8,000) -- Butler's Opening Night performance against the Cavs (32 FP on FanDuel) has been his worst one of the young season. He's put up at least 38 FanDuel points per game over the last three since.

SF - Marcus Morris ($5,800) -- A huge minutes spike has led to a fast start to Morris' stint in Detroit. He's still ticked off that the Suns split him from Markieff, right?

SF - DeMarre Carroll ($6,100) -- He's shooting a lot more in Toronto in the limited sample (14.3 FGA/gm through three contests), which has ballooned his early-season scoring average to 16.3 ppg. (Also, I need an MLB GM comp for Masai Ujiri.)

PF - Julius Randle ($5,100) -- D.J. told me to stay away from rookies. Fortunately, Randle is not a rookie.

PF - Dirk Nowitzki ($6,500) -- He's old, and more than 15 years later, I'm still bitter the Bucks flipped him (along with Pat Garrity) for the late Tractor Traylor. With the league's elder statesmen, November and December seem like a prime time to strike when prices are low.

C - Andre Drummond ($8,900) -- The Pacers lack defensively competent bigs, so Drummond should feast against Indiana on Tuesday.
