Yahoo Friends and Family League Draft

On Friday, we had the annual Yahoo Friends and Family draft - a 14-team expert league where you start 1-QB, 2-RB, 2-WR, 2-FLEX (RB/WR/TE), 1 -TE, 1-K and 1-D. Scoring is essentially normal PPR except for God knows what reason commissioner Brandon Funston prefers .75 points per reception and 4.5 points per passing TD.

Here are the results:

I picked 11th, and it turned out to be a good spot with two elite receivers falling to me in the first two rounds. In Round 3, when the last of the easy choices, Emmanuel Sanders, went one pick before me, I swung for the fences with Davante Adams. The receivers get thin quickly, and I don't like anyone in the next tier.

I was thrilled to see both Arian Foster and Todd Gurley still around at the 5/6 turn in a 14-team league. We have small benches, so it could be a challenge to manage the roster early on, but the best time to deal with it is pre-bye weeks. Hopefully one, if not both, of my backs are up to full speed before Week 4.
