DFS Amateur Hour - Wednesday Night

After writing earlier about how I would pick out several players at each position and set multiple lineups using as many as I could, I settled on only one lineup for tonight and am using it in three contests, in part because I didn't leave enough time, but mostly because I'm in love with it.

It was a rare instance where I didn't have to compromise at any position. Actually, I was torn between Brad Miller and Everth Cabrera at shortstop - so much so I might set one more (if so, I'll post below.) But that was a case of deciding between two players I was happy to use. I almost never feel this way about a lineup, and it's probably a result of overconfidence due to going 4-for-4 last night. (Keep in mind I'm at minus $8 on the season, so my enthusiasm likely means nothing.)

Here's the lineup, entered into a $10 Double Up, and $5 and $10 tournaments:

PosPlayer$Player$
PKershaw$12,000Kershaw$12,000
CMcHenry$2,200McHenry$2,200
1BFielder$3,600Fielder$3,600
2BFlaherty$2,700Flaherty$2,700
3BBeltre$3,400Beltre$3,400
SSB. Miller$2,500E. Cabrera$2,600
OFRevere$2,600Revere$2,600
OFArcia$3,000Arcia$3,000
OFde Aza$2,900de Aza$2,900
$34,900$35,000

As you can see I also threw in the Cabrera lineup, though just on a measly $5 Double Up. So that makes four entries, essentially all the same.

Here are my thoughts:

Kershaw at home against the Giants is about as good as it gets, so I paid up. I'm not buying Archie Bradley just yet, so I backed the Rangers' two sluggers hitting third and fourth, respectively, in a good park for reasonable prices. McHenry is starting in a home game, and I like the Orioles to rock Aaron Sanchez, hence de Aza, Cabrera and Flaherty, who for God knows what reason has been crushing the ball every time I watch him play. Brad Miller is too cheap for his skill set, and Arcia faces a weak righty and has pop.
