NHL Playoff Observations: Hot goalie, cold goalie.

  • Bob 1, Kucherov + Stamkos + Point 0. That won't last, but one of these things was way better than the others.
  • Connor Hellebuyck seemed sharp. Then he started swimming after David Perron's goal. Part starfish, part beached whale. The Jets won't get far with play like that.

  • Patrick Laine's frozen paws defrosted in less than a period. The Jets will need more. A lot more.
  • Hands up if you took Jordan Eberle in your postseason format. Thought not.
  • Four unanswered goals. It's the first time all season Tampa lost after leading by three. And only the second regulation loss when leading after the first stanza. And to Torts, no less.
  • Hey, Pens -- you gotta stop staring. I know Mathew Barzal's moves are filthy. But there are other guys on the ice. Like Josh Bailey. Cha-ching.
  • Welcome to the second season. This should be good.
