Cup Crisis of Confidence: NHL Final Game 2

Just a few things that caught my eye:

  • Is Jake Guentzel this era's John Druce? Better question -- does Guentzel even know who John Druce is?
  • The Pens need to thank their lucky stars that Matt Murray has bailed their butts out of both games so far. They don't deserve the lead.

  • Where-o-where has Rinne's confidence gone? Oh, where-oh-where can it be? Right. Not in Pittsburgh. Ugh.
  • Speaking of Rinne. I'm watching Twitter overnight to see if he goes covfefe. Just saying.
  • Pontus Aberg's first period goal was the prettiest of the postseason. Hands down.
  • Chris Kunitz deserved far more than two minutes for crosschecking P.K. Subban in the back of the neck and into the end boards. No wonder Mike Sullivan lost his crap about the refs.
  • The game was a yawn, but by the third, we finally started to see some signs of passion. But I'm not sure it was smart for P.K. Subban or Evgeni Malkin to risk broken digits by dropping the gloves.
