Training Camp Wrap

Chris Johnson and the Titans have reportedly made progress in their attempt to come to an agreement on a long-term deal
- It's not clear exactly what the two sides figured out, but it's encouraging to hear some positive news regarding his contract dispute. Johnson will continue holding out for the time being, but hopefully Wednesday's discussions were the first step toward an actual resolution. It's looking more and more likely they will reach an accord, so he's now a bargain outside the top-five.

Arian Foster revealed via Twitter he has a minor tear in his left hamstring – Actually, we have no idea what the MRI means, as all "strains" are some sort of muscle tear, and the conflicting reports from the MRI make his situation all the more up in the air. The Texans have yet to announce an official timetable for Foster's recovery, but there now appears to be a real possibility he could miss regular season action. Given Foster's ADP, fantasy owners should be sure to keep close tabs on his outlook over the next few days. There's a legitimate argument for him as pick No. 1 or waiting until the end of round one now.

When asked whether he'd be ready for Week 1, Wes Welker (neck) said, "I hope so. We'll see what the doctors and the trainers and everybody else says and what they say is what's going to happen"
- Though it can't be inferred from his words, perhaps the best sign here is that Welker is speaking about his injury at all, which is something that normally doesn't happen with the Patriots when a player is dealing with a significant injury. He has plenty of upside if he's ready for Week 1.

Rashad Jennings (knee) was seen on crutches during practice Tuesday - Jennings has had a rough preseason, with a concussion and now this (mysterious) knee injury. There may be more of an emphasis on the already-banged-up Maurice Jones-Drew in Week 1 if Jennings is limited, although he still remains the main backup to grab for MJD owners.

Cedric Benson surrendered himself to the Travis County Jail late Tuesday evening to begin serving his 20-day sentence
– Benson is likely looking at a seven day stay (assuming good behavior), so while he has plenty of other reasons to be avoided in fantasy leagues, his availability in Week 1 isn't one of them.
