Preseason Notes

Oakland's Michael Bush sustained a fractured thumb in Saturday's preseason loss to the 49ers – Bush will visit a hand specialist on Sunday to determine the severity of the injury. If Bush misses an extended period, Darren McFadden will see a significant bump in fantasy value early on in the season, as he'll carry the load for the Raiders. Be on the lookout for results from Bush's visit to the hand specialist and adjust your cheat sheets accordingly.

Donte Stallworth will miss at least two months after suffering a broken foot in Saturday's preseason win over the Giants – Ravens coach John Harbaugh hopes to have his No. 3 receiver back by the end of October. In the meantime, look for Mark Clayton to sub in for Stallworth, while Anquan Boldin and Derrick Mason are leaned on heavily as the team's top two wideouts.

Arizona's preseason win over Chicago on Saturday did little resolve the quarterback battle between Matt Leinart and Derek AndersonNeither QB did anything to hurt their chances at landing the starting gig in Week 1. Anderson started on Saturday, finishing 7-of-12 for 94 yards and a touchdown. Leinart matched Anderson tit-for-tat, completing 9-of-10 passes for 84 yards and a score. Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt doesn't plan on making a decision based on Saturday's contest. "I don't have to make any decisions right now," Whisenhunt said. "The starting QB evaluation covers more things than just this game." With the likes of Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston, Chris Wells and Tim Hightower on the Cardinals' offense, whomever lands the starting QB gig will have plenty of weapons at his disposal. Anderson and Leinart don't exactly instill much confidence, but whichever one lands the job will be a solid option as a backup fantasy quarterback.
