Picks, 6|FRONTS|11|FRONTS|10

A positive night. Yay. Very hard to look at the season totals given that I was over .500 and up a bunch just about a week ago.

One change you'll see, effective yesterday: putting more units in play. We're two months in and the theoretical 100-unit bankroll hasn't been endangered much, with swings from -12 to +18. I think we can stand a bit more risk, if not necessarily on every card.

Last night featured three fairly nondescript games. I'd take more of the same tonight:

Pittsburgh +185, one unit. The Nationals are calling up a 2009 draftee out of a second-tier NCAA conference who's made just 11 professional starts. This probably won't go well.

Baltimore +195, one unit. Home team, reasonable starter. Orioles are a little undervalued at the moment.

Seattle +116, one unit. Felix Hernandez hasn't been quite as effective this season as expected, and could be undervalued. The Rangers, remember, do not have a good offense.

Chicago (AL) -116, two units. Love me some Gavin Floyd, and have to assume this line is this low off of what Armando Galarraga did a week ago.
