Just a few things that caught my eye:

• I bet Maxim Lapierre trash-talks in his sleep. Wow.

• Fight your own battles, Daniel Briere. That slash and rabbit punch with 1:51 left may have cost your team its captain next game. Mike Richards -- who by the way only has an inch and 10 pounds on you, Baby Briere -- should get an instigator penalty AND a next-game suspension. We'll see...

• Dominic Moore wasn't good enough for the Maple Leafs. He didn't fit on the Sabres. He was too smart for the Panthers. And he's the second star on a final-four team. Go figure. Wonder who he'll play for next year?

• P.K. Subban may be a kid but that third assist was incredibly mature. Not for the pass itself but because he had a clear lane and instead fed Marc-Andre Bergeron, a man struggling to find his groove this postseason. The kid gets team.

• It was a tough night for Chris Pronger and Matthew Carle -- the Habs finally decided to speed up and go East-West. Pronger may be the Flyers' leading Conn Smythe candidate but he's no twinkle-toes despite those itsy-bitsy size eights. Yes, a big man with little feet. I wonder how big his hands are... I digress.

• So what was that trend when Michael Cammalleri scores the game's first goal early in the first? Yep. It's Groundhog Day.

• Speaking of East-West, do you think the Canadiens finally clued into the fact Michael Leighton is only eight weeks removed from a quote-unquote severe high ankle sprain? I'll bet it's mighty hard to go post-to-post on that still-healing leg.

• Simon Gagne has seven goals in his last seven games. And an eight-game point streak. He looks like the Simon Gagne circa 2005. You know, the 47-goal Simon Gagne. Can you imagine this guy's career arc if he wasn't so damn injury prone?
