Playoff Observations -- Sunday

Just a few things that caught my eye:

  • Johan Franzen has 18 goals in his last 19 playoff games. Most productive mule ever.
  • The Anaheim Ducks had no business being in Sunday's game. Zero, zippy, nada. It was almost a travesty they scored that power-play goal to draw the game to within one.
  • Think Phil Kessel's elbow is better? Nice release. He'll get 50 one day.
  • Aaron Ward's jaw is probably a little sore (or worse). Cheap shot.
  • Speaking of cheap, how about that red shirt in the crease on Darren Helm's goal -- you know, the one with his foot wedged behind the goalie's leg restricting any movement?
  • Rob Brind'Amour looks done. Sad.
  • Interesting goal celebration by Alexander Radulov on the game- and gold-medal winner against Canada. I think he'll be back next season. The sound you hear is the sigh of relief out of Nashville. Finally, someone who can score.
