Alex Rodriguez's Stock Falls in Fantasy Leagues

If you want to have a good laugh, check out the NY Times' baseball blog today. It implies that fantasy owners are not drafting ARod in part because of offseason distractions ranging from dating Madonna to the steroid scandal.

Look it's cool if you want to vilify ARod in the mainstream media - that's your job to create villains and heroes out of whole cloth to dupe the credulous public. But don't put that nonsense on us - the fantasy owner. We're strictly a meritocracy - in competitive leagues, where a player's drafted is based on performance only.

I particularly agree with comment No. 3, incidentally.
