2009 Year-End Awards

Now's as good a time as any to make some year-end awards predictions. Here are mine:

AL MVP: Justin Morneau - the Twins will win that division with their pitching, and Morneau will have the RBI. ARod will have better stats, but the voters will punish him.

AL CY: Ervin Santana - Joba Chamberlain will have better per-start numbers, but the Yanks will limit his innings.
AL ROY: Matt Wieters - obvious choice, but I like his chances better than David Price's in the AL East.

NL MVP: Albert Pujols - boring choice, but now that his elbow's better, I think he's going to go nuts, e.g., 48-140-.350, and it won't matter if the Cards miss the playoffs.
NL CY: Dan Haren - he was the least boring among the boring choices available to me. (5:1 K:BB last year.)
NL ROY: Andrew McCutchen - might not make the team out of camp, but should be called up by June. Plate discipline was good last year as a 21-year old in Triple-A, and once he's up, he'll get a chance to play every day.

Feel free to add your own predictions below.
