NHL Playoff Observations: Praying for a Hawks miracle

Just a few things that caught that my eye:

  • Robby Fabbri is something else. Is he the next great small player? Skill. Work ethic. Compete. He has them all.
  • The Bolts didn't deserve the win. It was 1000 per cent on Ben Bishop. G'damn he's savage.

  • King Henrik Lundqvist's crown has slipped a little, eh? Two of those early goals smelled worse than limberner cheese. Yuck.
  • I used to think the Norris was Drew Doughty's to lose. And then I watched Brent Burns this week. Wow. And I'm not just talking about his beard. Or his lack of teeth.
  • Geno is back. And in a HUGE way. Evgeni Malkin factored in four of the Pens' five on Friday night.
  • Does anyone know when Steve Ott became a leader instead of a wiener?
  • Hey Patrick Kane -- I know you have a good shot, buy even I know that shots from two steps into the the offensive zone are pretty futile.
  • Thank you, Pavel Datsyuk. You have been and remain one of the league's best.
  • The Flying V has formed. The Preds are screwed.
  • David Rundblad didn't get a shift in the first overtime. Why do you have him?
  • Petr Mrazek won't sleep for a month. One mistake and a giveaway, and the Bolts pounced.
  • Matt Murray. Bam. Marc Andre Fleury who?
  • Scott Laughton was released from hospital Thursday. It's OK to breath again.
  • 3-3 after the first OT. I fell asleep. What happened???
