Kings Defeat Lakers, 123-120
The Sacramento Kings defeated the visiting Los Angeles Lakers, 123-120, at Golden 1 Center on Wednesday.

While Los Angeles had to play this game without Anthony Davis and LeBron James, this game came down to the final shot. In fact, the Lakers had six shots in the final six seconds to either tie or take the lead, but missed all of them. That emphasizes just how close it was, taking 11 ties and 14 lead changes to determine a winner while neither team led by more than eight points for the final 30 minutes of play. The Kings shot 60 percent from the field and 48 percent from three-point range while holding the Lakers to 53 percent from the field and 44 percent from long range. In addition, Sacramento out-assisted Los Angeles, 32-27, while outscoring their starters by 28 points.

The Lakers (25-12) were led by Dennis Schroder, totaling 28 points and nine assists. Kyle Kuzma generated 25 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. Markieff Morris collected 11 points, five rebounds and three assists. Montrezl Harrell led the bench with 26 points and 12 rebounds.

The Kings (14-21) were led by Buddy Hield and his 29 points, six rebounds and six assists. De'Aaron Fox tallied 23 points, eight assists and three steals. Harrison Barnes compiled 20 points, three rebounds and six assists. Richaun Holmes provided 16 points and nine rebounds while Marvin Bagley had 14 points and five boards.

This marks the final game before the All-Star break for the Lakers, while Sacramento plays host to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday for their final game.
