Heat Defeat Hawks, 109-99
The Miami Heat defeated the visiting Atlanta Hawks, 109-99, at American Airlines Arena on Sunday.

Miami outscored Atlanta in the first half, 54-44, leading for all but a single minute in the second half. The Hawks made it competitive behind a 33-24 third quarter but the Heat ran away with a 31-22 fourth. Miami shot 45 percent from the field and 30 percent from three-point range while holding Atlanta to 41 percent from the field and 23 percent from long range. In addition, the Heat recorded 27 assists to 14 turnovers while the Hawks had just 22 assists to 16 turnovers.

The Hawks (14-20) got a career-high 34 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks from John Collins, doing that damage on 13-of-21 from the field, Clint Capela totaled 20 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks. Trae Young went just 3-of-14 from the field to tally 15 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. Kevin Huerter had 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and six steals.

The Heat (17-17) were led by Kendrick Nunn and his 24 points, three rebounds and seven assists. Bam Adebayo collected 16 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and three blocks. Goran Dragic generated 13 points, four rebounds and three assists while Tyler Herro and Precious Achiuwa had 14 points apiece to lead the bench.

These teams' next game will be a rematch on Tuesday against one another.
