Yahoo DFS Basketball: Tuesday Picks

Yahoo DFS Basketball: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Basketball series.

There will be seven games in the NBA on Tuesday, which sets up for a busy slate. However, there will be numerous key players out because of injuries or rest. Let's dive into some of the players worth targeting who are expected to take the floor, as well as a few to potentially avoid.

GUARDS

Damian Lillard, POR at DAL ($48): The Blazers should be one of the few teams on this slate who are set to deploy their usual rotations. With their playoff hopes on the line, Lillard has exploded to average 33.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 1.3 steals inside the bubble. He could keep his hot streak going against the Mavericks considering he's averaged 36.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists in three previous meetings with them this season.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, SAC vs. NO ($21): The big news for the Kings is that De'Aaron Fox (shoulder) has been ruled out. During a stretch of 15 games in which Fox missed earlier this season, Bogdanovic stepped up to average 16.4 points, three rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals. Add his likely expanded role to the Pelicans playing at the second-fastest pace in the league and Bogdanovic is a very appealing option.

Guard to Avoid

Eric Bledsoe, MIL at WAS ($20): Look for the Bucks to potentially rest a player or two in this game after having just played Monday. Since Bledsoe did take the floor in that contest against the Raptors, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him play limited in minutes in this contest, at the very least. With Bogdanovic carrying a higher ceiling with Fox out, this might be the night to stay away from Bledsoe.

FORWARDS

Josh Hart, NO at SAC ($17): Now that they have been eliminated from playoff contention, the Pelicans have decided to rest some of their starters. Already ruled out for this contest are Jrue Holiday, Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson. Enter Hart, who has shown that he can be productive when given added playing time. Across 16 games in which he has played at least 30 minutes this season, he's averaged 12.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.5 steals.

Glenn Robinson III, PHI vs. PHO ($10): The Sixers will be rolling with a limited depth chart in this contest having already ruled out Ben Simmons (knee), Joel Embiid (ankle) and Josh Richardson (rest). On top of that, Tobias Harris (ankle) and Al Horford (knee) are listed as questionable. Robinson could fall into a lot of playing time here, which could make him someone to consider at the minimum salary versus a Suns team that has played at the ninth-fastest pace.

Forward to Avoid

Mikal Bridges, PHO at PHI ($18): On the bright side, the Suns are one of the few teams who still have something left to play for on this slate. That should mean Bridges will play his normal allotment of minutes. However, he doesn't receive a ton of shot attempts with so much fire power around him, which has contributed to him scoring 26.7 Yahoo points or fewer in all six of their games in Orlando.

CENTERS

Jusuf Nurkic, POR at DAL ($39): Like Lillard, Nurkic has stepped up big for the Blazers since the season resumed. He's started each of their six contests, averaging 18.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.5 blocks. His physical style of play is not a good matchup for Kristaps Porzingis and the rest of the Mavericks' big men, leaving Nurkic with the potential for another dominant performance.

Kyle O'Quinn, PHI vs. PHO ($10): If Horford doesn't suit up for this game, the Sixers will be down to O'Quinn and Norvel Pelle ($10) to battle with Deandre Ayton. Neither player has seen much action this season, but O'Quinn is a proven veteran who has been productive when given added opportunities in the past. In the one game that he did actually start this season, he logged four points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two blocks across 26 minutes against the Pacers. At the minimum salary, he could be worth a dart throw in tournament play.

Center to Avoid

Derrick Favors, NO at SAC ($18): Favors is one of the few veterans on the Pelicans who has not been ruled out for this matchup yet. However, how much he actually plays remains to be seen. The Pelicans do have options behind him in Jaxson Hayes ($10) and Jahlil Okafor ($10) if they want to reduce his workload, so the risk associated with Favors might not be worth the potential reward.
