Effross, who underwent Tommy John surgery in October 2022 and missed all of last season, hopes to be ready for spring training after progressing to bullpens and live batting practice over the fall. The side-armer has been limited to 71.1 innings in the majors since making his debut in 2021, but he's been highly successful with a 2.78 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 80:16 K:BB ratio.
